Change The WinXP Screen Resolution To Enhance Your View PDF Print E-mail

Here are instructions, step-by-step for changing the monitor resolution in Windows XP to fit as much as possible on the screen at one time.

Note: It is important that you find out the maximum resolution your monitor supports before you proceed.

  1. Right click an empty space on your desktop. This will open up a small menu.
  2. Click 'Properties' (at the bottom of the menu). This opens the 'Display Properties' window.
  3. Click the 'Settings' tab.
  4. Under where it says 'Screen resolution' use the 'Less' and 'More' bar to select the maxumum screen resolution available for your monitor type and model.
  5. Click 'Apply'.
  6. Click 'OK'.


Common screen resolutions:

1024x7068
1280x1024

Common widescreen resolutions:

1280x800
1280x960
